PCS-400/410 Hand Applied Pure Polyureas
for Roller, Brush or Airless Application

PCS-400 series pure polyureas are formulated for hand or airless spray applications where the performance  of polyurea is required, but where conventional spray polyurea applications are not possible. PCS-400 series polyureas provide a 15 to 20  minute  working time and 1.5-2 hr tack free. PCS-400 series are aliphatic in  nature and UV– color stable. The products are excellent as a color fast top coat over PCS-300 series polyurea, for flooring, traffic striping, and areas where conventional polyurea spray is difficult. PCS-400 is a  more rigid formulation, while PCS-410 offers an elongation of 60 %. PCS-400 series hand applied polyureas are available in standard colors and are packages in kits or 55 gallon drums.

Directions for use:

Surface must be properly prepared. Concrete surfaces prepared according to NACE standard RP0892-92.  Steel surfaces must be a “near white metal” blast to SSPC-SP-10 with a 4 mil profile.  All surfaces must be free from dust, rust, moisture and other oils and contaminates.  Concrete surfaces must be primed with PCS-30 series primer, adhesion  promoter.   See PCS-30  bulletin for application conditions.

Combine component A and B according to specification and mix thoroughly. For airless spray, do not exceed 1 gallon of A and B in holding tanks.

PCS-400 series can be applied by phenolic knap roller, squeegee, or airless spray. See PCSI application specifications.

Please consult PCSI for specific application specifications.

Note: working time is defined as the time the product is low enough in viscosity to apply without rolls or drag. It is dependent on temperature and is NOT pot life. Acclimate PCS-400 series to between 65 and 75 oF for 72 hrs prior to applying.  keep PCS-400 series components below 80 oF prior to application.

Safety:

Consult PCS-400 series A/B MSDS before using material.   Use proper ventilation and respiratory equipment when spraying. Protect skin and eyes. Follow disposal methods in accordance with local and federal disposal regulations.
