PCS-700 RM Epoxy Pipeline Coating

PCS-30 is a low viscosity 100% solids epoxy developed as a penetrating concrete primer for polyurea applications. PCS-30 penetrates the surface of the concrete, strengthening the concrete, blocking off pin-hole formations and providing a surface to accept the polyurea, increasing adhesion of polyurea systems by up to twice that of un-primed concrete.

Typical Applications: Advantages:
  • Pipeline coatings
  • Girth welds
  • Repair/patching
  • Metal surfaces
  • Ductile iron surfaces
  • Over the ditch coatings
  • 1:1 mix ratio
  • 2 hour pot life
  • 4 hour dry at 75oF
  • Excellent cathodic disbondment properties
  • 100% solids
  • Applied by brush, spray, or roller

Directions for use:

Surface must be properly prepared. All surfaces must be clean and dry before application. Substrate should be wire brushed to establish minimal surface preparation. Brush blasting of the surface is recommended. All surfaces must be coated prior to formation of rust bloom.

Power mixing of PCS-700RM is required. Slowly add Part B (black) to Part A (light yellow). DO NOT ADD all of Part B at one time. Continue stirring the mixture with a Jiffy type mixer until all of Part B is added and mixture becomes smooth and fully mixed. DO NOT THIN.

Allow 5 minutes induction time before applying. Do not apply PCS-700RM when surfaces will be exposed to moisture before coating is dried or when surfaces are less than 5o F above the dew point.

Safety:

Consult PCS-700RM A/B MSDS before using material. Use proper ventilation and respiratory equipment when spraying. Protect skin and eyes. Follow disposal methods in accordance with local and federal disposal regulations.
