  1. All crack widths measured using crack gage and recorded.

  2. Concrete surfaces to be clean, sound, and free of standing water. Dust laitance, grease, curing compounds and other contaminates to be removed by blastcleaning or equivalent mechanical means. Concrete surfaces will conform to SSPC specifications TU-13 prior to coating applications. Steel surfaces to be free from chloride and sulfate ions and to be near white metal blast finish 3-5 mil anchor profile.

  3. PCSI polyurea will span cracks which are less than or equal to 50% of its span length. Cracks which are larger, or through the structure, are to be repaired as follows:

  4. a.   Visible cracks 0.008 inch or less do not require additional treatment.

    b.   Visible cracks 0.008 inch or greater are to be routed to approximately ½”x3/8” joint, primed and caulked with Sika 2C sealant.

    c.   All cracks greater than 0.03 inch to be treated by epoxy crack injection using Sikadure 52.

  5. Epoxy crack injection to follow manufacturers procedures. After injection and cure, the exterior side is to be routed to approximately ½”x3/8” joint, primed and caulked using Sika 2C sealant.

  6. Cracks which are in movement transitions must be evaluated, regardless of current size, for possible epoxy crack injection.
