PCSI
polyurea will span cracks which are less than or equal to 50% of its span
length. Cracks which are larger, or through the structure, are to be repaired
as follows:
a. Visible
cracks 0.008 inch or less do not require additional treatment.
b. Visible
cracks 0.008 inch or greater are to be routed to approximately ½”x3/8” joint,
primed and caulked with Sika 2C sealant.
c. All
cracks greater than 0.03 inch to be treated by epoxy crack injection using
Sikadure 52.
-
Epoxy crack injection to follow manufacturers procedures. After injection and
cure, the exterior side is to be routed to approximately ½”x3/8” joint, primed
and caulked using Sika 2C sealant.
-
Cracks which are in movement transitions must be evaluated, regardless of
current size, for possible epoxy crack injection.
