  1. Preheat Resin and ISO to at least 75° F / 25° C.

  2. Premix Resin only for at least 30 minutes with air powered mixer.

  3. Install / inspect moisture traps on air supply and check for oil in the air.

    1. For pneumatic proportioner, make sure oiler has oil in it, run air line to gun BEFORE oiler!

  4. Check power source for a minimum of 220-V, 3-Phase, 60 Amps, or appropriate power.

  5. Make sure all legs are hot on your incoming power.

  6. Check rotation on the hydraulic pump for 3-phase power hydraulic units.

  7. Make sure transfer pump air motors are lubricated and you have sufficient airflow.

  8. Make sure all air lines are attached, transfer pumps, gun hose, etc.

  9. Check / clean the filter screens on the material inlet strainers (30-mesh).

  10. Make sure you have material and all supply lines are open before you start the pump / heating.

  11. Make sure you have a working drier on the ISO drum.

    1. make sure small bung on Resin drum is open.

  12. Turn on hose heat first (not primary heater) and allow hose to heat up.

    1. Check hose heat to make sure you are pulling sufficient amps to heat hose.

  13. Unwind complete gun hose while warming up.

  14. Check pump lube to make sure it is not cloudy or clumpy.

  15. Check to make sure you have the appropriate gun for the job you want to do.
    1. GX-7 - 400, GX-7 Standard, GX-8
  16. Check to make sure you have the appropriate modules and PCD's.
  17. Make sure you have all the appropriate tools for servicing the pump and guns.
  18. Make sure the gun is clean and the modules are drilled to the specified hole size.
    1. Check filter screens on gun block, should be 40-mesh for GX-7 guns.
  19. Make sure the air holes on the gun face are clear. Use the air to the air cap!
    1. insure that the gun , trigger is functioning properly.
  20. Check valving rod to make sure it is set at the right stopping point.
  21. Make sure you bring the flush tank with plenty of gun solvent to flush with it.
  22. Make sure you bring the appropriate spare parts to the job.
  23. Make sure you have calipers to double check the drill sizes.
  24. Check humidity and surface temperature before spraying. Be cautious of dew point and
    1. moisture or other contaminants on the substrate.
  25. Check to make sure you have considered overspray and how you are going to
    1. control it. There will be a lot of overspray with the GX-7 400 gun.
  26. Turn on primary heaters and allow to come up to temperature.
  27. Pressurize system and note pressure balance between ISO and Resin
    1. bleed high pressure side at end of spray hose. Attach appropriate spray gun.
  28. Make sure you have and USE the appropriate respirators for all people on the job.
  29. Check spray pattern on poly sheet before spraying job. Must have nice even pattern without
    1. fingering. Spray samples films to submit for testing and verification on material.
  30. Verify desired texture before spraying. Test the spray technique on poly first.
